Cappagh Valley
Last Sunday (15/02/2015), 25 hardy souls turned up for our tri-weekly club walk even though the forecast was less than favourable. The warning of heavy persistent rain in the early afternoon wasn’t enough to deter this bunch of seasoned walkers.
Training Evening – Map and Compass Skills
The club wishes to extend our utmost thanks to Rory Costello, of Kerry Orienteers, who kindly gave a crash course in compass work and map reading to a group of club members last Monday evening in Kielduff community school.
Kerry Orienteers have been active in the county since 1982 and hold a number of events throughout the year. For more details visit their home page or like their Facebook page to be kept up to date on upcoming events.
Glanageenty – Winter Evening Walks
One of the goals of our club is to introduce people to hillwalking in a safe and friendly environment. So over the coming months we will host a number of public evening walks around the Glanageenty.
New Website Launched
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new home on the internet – www.bgramblers.ie
Over the coming weeks and months we hope this site will become a valuable resource to our club members and to the community at large.
